Remove AI Metadata is a local-first image inspection and cleaning service. This policy explains what happens to images used in the core tool and what limited information may be processed when you use optional website features.

Local image processing

Images selected in the homepage tool are scanned and cleaned on your device. The core metadata-removal workflow does not upload those image files to our servers.

The tool can inspect common EXIF, GPS, XMP, IPTC, PNG text, and provenance signals. For supported PNG and JPEG files, lossless mode removes supported metadata containers without intentionally re-encoding the compressed image data. Redraw mode decodes and re-exports the image in a selected browser-supported format, which can change file bytes, color handling, dimensions for very large files, or compression. HEIC and other supported input formats may be decoded locally before export. Format support depends on your browser and device.

Temporary previews, hashes, scan results, and cleaned outputs used by the tool remain in browser memory or local browser storage as needed for the active session. Your browser may release this data when you clear the files, close or refresh the page, or clear site data.

Optional accounts and service data

You can use the core image-cleaning tool without sending the selected images to us. If you choose to create an account or use optional account, billing, support, or administrative features, we and the relevant service providers may process information needed to provide them, such as:

• your email address, profile details, authentication sessions, and account identifiers;
• subscription, transaction, and billing status supplied by a payment provider (we do not need to receive your full payment-card number);
• messages you send to support and the information you include in them;
• basic server logs, security events, device or browser information, IP address, referral data, and cookies required to operate and protect the service.

Analytics and cookies

We may use privacy-conscious analytics or hosting telemetry to understand page usage, reliability, and performance. These services may process page URLs, approximate location derived from an IP address, browser or device information, and interaction events. Essential cookies or local storage may be used for language, authentication, security, and session preferences. Where required, optional analytics will be subject to the choices presented to you.

Third-party services and links

Optional authentication, hosting, analytics, email, and payment features may be provided by third parties under their own privacy terms. The site may also link to external websites. Visiting an external link sends your request directly to that site; we do not control its content or privacy practices. Opening an external website is separate from processing an image in the local cleaner.

Retention and security

We retain account, transaction, support, security, and operational records only as reasonably needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, prevent abuse, and resolve disputes. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, but we use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information we process.

Your choices

You may use the core cleaner without an account, decline optional analytics where a choice is provided, clear site data in your browser, and contact us to ask about access to or deletion of account information, subject to applicable law and necessary record-retention obligations.
