These terms govern your use of the Remove AI Metadata website, its local image inspection and cleaning tool, and any optional account or paid features. By using the service, you agree to these terms.

The service

The core cleaner runs in your browser and is designed to inspect and remove supported image metadata without uploading the selected image files to our servers. It supports multiple input and output formats subject to browser and device capabilities.

For supported PNG and JPEG files, lossless mode removes supported metadata containers without intentionally re-encoding the compressed image data. Redraw mode decodes and re-exports an image, so file bytes, compression, color handling, or the dimensions of very large images may change. HEIC and other inputs may be decoded locally before export.

Your files and acceptable use

You retain responsibility for the files you select, process, download, or share. You must have the rights and permissions needed to process them and must comply with applicable law, intellectual-property rights, privacy rights, and the rules of any platform where you publish an output.

Do not use the service to facilitate fraud, impersonation, unlawful surveillance, infringement, or deception; to misrepresent required provenance; to bypass a platform policy or legally required disclosure; or to interfere with, probe, overload, or reverse engineer the service except where applicable law expressly permits it.

Results and limitations

The tool targets supported file-level metadata and provenance containers. It does not guarantee removal of every possible metadata field, visible mark, robust invisible watermark, pixel-level signal, forensic trace, or platform classification. A clean scan reflects the signals the current scanner recognizes; it is not a certification that no other information exists.

Lossless refers to avoiding intentional re-encoding of compressed image data in supported workflows; it does not guarantee identical behavior for every file, viewer, orientation tag, animation, color profile, or malformed input. Redraw necessarily creates a new encoded file. Review each output before deleting an original or publishing the result, and keep your own backups.

Optional accounts, analytics, and paid features

The core cleaner may be available without an account. If optional accounts, subscriptions, credits, reports, APIs, or other paid features are offered, you must provide accurate account information, safeguard your credentials, and pay the prices and taxes shown at checkout. Payment, authentication, email, hosting, and analytics providers may apply their own terms. Separate product-specific terms shown at purchase or use also apply; if they conflict with these general terms, the more specific terms control for that feature.

Third-party services and links

The site may integrate with or link to third-party services. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, availability, security, promises, or data practices. Your use of a third-party site or service is governed by its terms and is at your own risk.

Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend, limit, or discontinue features to maintain security, comply with law, prevent abuse, or improve the service. We may also update these terms. The updated date above indicates the latest version; continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms where permitted by law.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We disclaim implied warranties and do not promise uninterrupted operation, compatibility with every file, or a particular platform outcome. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Remove AI Metadata and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of data, lost profits, or decisions made based on a scan or cleaned output.
